The next update should be large masses of 4×5. All are shot waiting to be developed in tubes my Dad and I made. They should work out quite nicely.
Hasselblad 500c, 50mm F/4 and 80mm F/2.8 respectively....

I finally got off my ass and shot a roll of film. This first shot has been sitting in my camera so long that when I developed the film and hung it, there was still a curve the shape of the film in the back when it’s waiting to be shot. My guess is it had been there for 4-5 months. Maybe longer. When I picked up my camera it had been so long that I guessed the film was Hp5+ and turned out to be Fp4+, so I pushed it to 200. All shot with the Hasselblad 500c and 80/2.8 or 50/4. It’s good to be...

The print? Nah, it’s just okay. A little too flat in my opinion. No, the motion behind it is what is good. For the first time in over 4 months I poured chemicals into trays and did something. It was about time. I haven’t touched a camera in months. The break is...

I stopped calling shots. I have easily shot a photo every week, quite a few more actually, but I have not called a shot for a long time. I’m a little bit surprised at myself for being able to do it every day last year but I think this is a different issue. My real issue is that I don’t like to plan out photography in the long term. I don’t like restrictions on what I can shoot. Often, I can walk away from an idea with a completely different photography and be equally as happy, if not more. The problem is that I can’t then post the photographs and say that it fits in with the...

The call for this week was “Slow Day at the Beach.” The idea was that I would shoot some large format at the beach when my film came. The variables came together as the box from UPS arrived about 5 minutes before we were scheduled to leave. The “slow” part of this call is referencing the painfully slow process of setting up and shooting 4×5.
Call for next week is...

Big:
Call for this week was “Assassins.”
I’m currently playing Assassins at our school. Interesting game.
Basic gist of it:
People sign up in teams of two, whoever runs it assigns a team another team as their target. They are also someone elses target, however they do not know who that is. The team has to shoot both of their targets with squirt guns before a certain date (usually 4 days). If you’re shot, you’re out of the game. If you don’t hit your target in the allotted time, you’re out of the game. If you do get your target and don’t get shot, you...
