I finally got off my ass and shot a roll of film. This first shot has been sitting in my camera so long that when I developed the film and hung it, there was still a curve the shape of the film in the back when it’s waiting to be shot. I stopped calling shots. I have easily shot a photo every week, quite a few more actually, but I have not called a shot for a long time. I’m a little bit surprised at myself for being able to do it every day last year but I think this is a different issue. My real issue is that I don’t like to plan out photography in the long term. I don’t like restrictions on what I can shoot. Often, I can walk away from an idea with a completely different photography and be equally as happy, if not more. Big: Call for this week was “Assassins.” I’m currently playing Assassins at our school. Interesting game. Basic gist of it: People sign up in teams of two, whoever runs it assigns a team another team as their target. They are also someone elses target, however they do not know who that is.
